Stella's legal practice experience has been predominantly in the area of business and commercial law, property and asset protection. She has worked with a variety of business clients from the small business owner to those involved with multi-million dollar business transactions and has lead teams working on long term legal projects incorporating due diligence, structuring, financing and conveyancing. In addition to the transactional aspects of commercial law Stella has a particular interest in providing pro-active assistance to business clients to enhance the effectiveness and compliance of their business systems and procedures.
Prior to practicing as solicitor, Stella pursued a career in management and business consulting. She has held a number of management roles in both the state and private sectors. Her experience has brought her into contact with a diverse range of businesses and business activities including strategic management, human resources and training, industrial relations and marketing.
During the 1980's Stella worked as an independent consultant to larger organisations undergoing restructuring as a result of state privatisation. Her work involved organisational restructuring, facilitating positive employment relationships during phases of redundancy and management and communication skills development for management and staff.
Stella completed a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours at the University of Waikato. Her degree incorporated strategic management and industrial relations to enhance her New Zealand Institute of Management qualifications. Stella's legal training and practice combined with her previous career experience enables her to provide practical advice and services to clients.
